4.1 Red Hat Package Manager

The Red Hat Package Manager allows users to package source code for new software into source and binary form so that binaries can be easily installed and tracked through the rpm database and source can be rebuilt easily. The database of packages and files that can be used for verifying packages and querying for information about files and/or packages.
